Tech requirements

It is not compatible with macOS, but you can use Parallels to run it on a Mac.

How U-MAP IT® Works

U-MAP IT® helps you create structured, easy-to-read documents and integrates directly into Microsoft Word.

Step 1: Install the Plugin

Add U-MAP IT® to Microsoft Word (Windows only). After installation, the U-MAP IT® tab will appear next to “Home” in the ribbon.

Step 2: Click to Insert Building Blocks

Click the icons in the U-MAP IT® tab to add pre-formatted blocks such as margin titles, QA sections, tables, and alerts.

Step 3: Focus on Content, Not Formatting

All blocks are pre-formatted to Usability Mapping® standards.
